Remember that roaming is active by default. If you are travelling and want to avoid extra charges, contact us so that we can deactivate it.

What is roaming?

If you want to travel outside of Spain you have to activate the roaming option on your mobile. This allows you to continue using your phone when you are connected to a mobile network in another country.

Can I use my phone outside of Spain?

In the following countries you can use your data at the same rate as if you were in Spain without incurring any extra costs.

Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein,Antillas francesas (isla de Guadalupe, Guayana francesa, isla de Martinica, isla de San Martín), Mónaco, San Marino and Vaticano.

Outside of these countries each MB is charged at a rate of 6.05 euros, so we recommend that you do not activate your mobile data to avoid any surprises. For example, a consumption of 30 megabytes would incur an extra charge of 181,5 euros (tax included).

Each SMS outside the indicated countries will cost 0.7260 euros.

What network do I connect with when I am abroad?

Please consult the list of countries at the end of this page where you can use your data and make calls at your normal rate as if you were in Spain.

For countries not on the list, please contact us and we will inform you of which providers we have an agreement with according to your destination country.

Travelling to the USA? Important information to keep in mind.

From 15 June 2023, voice and data services in the USA will be charged. Upon arrival you will receive an SMS with all the information. Check prices at . Voice service in the USA is temporarily disabled in some states for our customers. The VoLTE service is not available, as an alternative you can use Apps that allow calls over the internet (Skype, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.).

What are fair use policies, and how do they affect you?

Fair use policies were introduced by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/2286 of 15 December 2016 with the goal of regulating the use of mobile data roaming services in the EU. As such, they establish that a consumer must be able to consume a volume of data roaming services equivalent to at least twice the volume obtained by dividing the overall retail price of their tariff (excluding VAT) by the regulated maximum wholesale roaming charge, which is set at €1.80/GB for 2023 (as detailed in terms of the aforementioned regulation).

International vouchers and roaming

Calls made from Spain to other countries are included in the INTERNATIONAL service. INTERNATIONAL VOUCHERS are a product to be applied from Spain. When a line leaves Spain, it is included in the ROAMING service and the rates for this are applied.

ROAMING has the particularity of the agreement for EU countries, if you call from an EU country to another EU country, the price plan contracted in Spain is applied, in addition to the fact that the EU zone behaves as a single zone. This is known as "Like at Home" (LAH).

"If you are in France and you call Brazil, the Roaming rate applies."
"If you are in France and you call Portugal, the LAH rate applies."
